Babylonstoren is a stylish, beautiful and unique hotel, originally an historic Cape Dutch farm, located within vineyard and orchards in the Drakenstein Valley. It’s about a 20 minutes drive from Franschhoek and nearby Paarl. Dating back to 1692 this is one of the Cape’s oldest and most historically significant properties. Beloved for its magnificent garden which is divided into 15 sections with a huge variety of vegetables, flowers and fruit gardens. Every aspect of Babylonstoren are led by the ever-changing tapestry and botanical diversity of the garden. The 12 whitewashed cottages, overlooking gardens or vineyards, are the former workers cottages which have been exquisitely refurbished with a minimalist white decor. For their guests, there is also a swimming pool, sauna, salt room and steam room. As a guest, you can also chose to pick the ingredients for dinner from the garden and prepare the dinner yourself, or ask the help of one of their chefs.
